BOLDNESS

BOLDNESS

REFLECTION

by Arvin Acosta

Boldness, from a basic definition of being fearless and courageous, is translated to something more intimate and deep with a touch of spirituality. Being bold in the eyes of God is having the passion to speak the truth which, as we know, only comes from His Word. Jesus is the truth as it has been written in John 14:6 “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” Having a relationship with the one true God is the key to being bold. No one will ever be able to defend the truth if you do not embrace it. Intentionality is a must and a prerequisite to spiritual boldness. We cannot rely on our own. We need the Holy Spirit and this is explicitly mentioned in Acts 4:31 that says “After they prayed, the place where they were meeting was shaken. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the word of God boldly.” Remember, our just being His mere creation is elevated to the next level - being His children - the moment that we accept Him as our Lord and Savior. This is a promise the scriptures reveal in John 1:12, “Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God.”

PRAYER

Lord, I may be attacked by challenges and issues in life but nothing will change who we are. I am your child. I am the reason why Jesus died in Calvary. I thank You for the greatest sacrifice. Give me the guidance of the Holy Spirit to forever be fearless in declaring Your might and sovereignty across the land. Being bold may not be my greatest strength at the moment but let Your presence flow through me. Let Your mouth be my mouth and Your heart be my heart. From today until we see You. We glorify You and we bless You in Jesus’ name, AMEN.
