Be Diligent

Be Diligent

Reflection by Gary Wong See

Indeed our Lord Jesus Christ our Messiah is surely coming at a time that we do not expect, yet we are commanded to exhort one another and in doing do - we fulfil our duty of care to strengthen the body of believers with all diligence as the Holy Spirit will strive with us in this matter. May it be that we are to be found without grudges, hatred, animosity or holding unforgiveness towards anybody in order not to grieve nor quench the Holy Spirit as He endeavors to minister His grace to our spirit for our ongoing renewal and transformation. As we continue to place our trust in the finished work of Lord Jesus Christ, we should strive to tap into more of the grace that is available to each us (if saved and known by Him) as we journey deeper into our salvation love walk, to be able to carry out His commandments and principles. May we put to death the distractions of the world that bear no eternal fruit and set one's heart into the things that will matter for eternity. Be watchful servants fulfilling your responsibilities and mandates that the Holy Spirit has charged you with and not be wicked, lazy servants who become drunk in earthly pleasures, being slothful, asleep at the wheel and spiritually dull of conscience. May that not be our portion but to be aware of the bigger picture of eternity that is before us. In these last days, we must seek the Holy Spirit more than ever as the days are becoming more evil and lawlessness will increase. Keep the oil in your lamps full and burning. Stir one another and choose to love, not hate but show mercy, just as Yahuah Barak Himself is gracious and merciful. Forgive quickly when offended and do not use being offended as an excuse not to attend church to avoid others. For Proverbs 18:1 says one who isolates themselves seeks their own desires and rebels against all wise judgment. We all need one another to grow together to get negotiate these challenging days ahead because all will give an account before the Triune Godhead of how we treated the body of believers (His church) whether good or bad (negligence). No one is exempt from judgment in the next life for all are appointed to die on this earth and after this, then the judgment. Hebrews 9:27. So reflect on these matters and may the Holy Spirit give us knowledge, wisdom and discernment (His asessments and not self-opinion or feelings which is the root cause of mis-placed, mis-informed and mis-use of discernment).
