WAIT ON THE LORD
Devotion by Trevor Josh Ramirez
I am in my senior year in college and I am in the process of applying for internship in different companies. I have been praying to God to lead me to the company that will equip me to become a better person someday. During the process of applications, I am hopeful to land in one of the companies I have applied for. However, just last week, I have received my first rejection. I have to admit it is painful to be rejected. But then I spoke with my mom, and I learned a very important lesson : "A rejection is a redirection." This means that a door is closed because it is not according to the will and plan of the Lord for my life. I went back to reading my bible and read the verse from Psalm 27:14 "Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the Lord! So I prayed to God again, to give me courage and a patient heart in this season of waiting, and to continue to trust in His plans for my life. Now, I better understand what it means to wait on the Lord and I trust Him that He will not withhold anything good for my life because I am His child.
